  Jan Meriss Alfonso Assistant at  Parklin Law Is legal precedence indefensible? The community of Port Fonda, California, is not happy with the current state of affairs. Their once-peaceful town has recently been taken over by a group of bandits calling themselves "Legal Precedence". This group was formed to give people in the town the feeling that they were safe and to resolve any legal conflicts that arose in a peaceful manner. Reasonable methods They had very reasonable methods for doing this, too: when disputes arose between two parties, both would put their entire case on trial in front of a jury; a jury consisting of citizens who were impartial to both parties. The jurors would then vote on which party was in the right; the winning party would be rewarded with property from both sides (the losing side forfeiting all rights to said property).
