Filing Bankruptcy As a Married Couple

If you and your spouse have joint debts, you can file for bankruptcy to eliminate both of them. This will make it easier for creditors to collect money owed by both spouses. However, your spouse will not benefit from the bankruptcy as much as you would. Therefore, it is a good idea to seek legal advice before filing jointly.
